Ab definition
First of all, I want to congratulate you on how you have
managed to develop your body! I have only one word: Amazing!!
I am finding it hard to define my abs. I usually do 20-30
crunches with up to 44 pounds on my chest for about five sets, then, say, 20 reps of leg
raises and then side dumbbell raises. I will do this three to five times a week.
Now, I have been working out since February 2004, yet
Im still lacking definition. Any tips will be greatly accepted!
Keep up the good work. You are a true inspiration to all us
naturals!
Take care,
Dean (England)
Hi Dean,
I find a lot of people have a hard time seeing ab
definition unless they are dieting pretty strictly. Being on a low-carbohydrate diet
always seems to work for me. Eating foods that are high on the glycemic index (i.e.,
sugar, processed carbs like pasta, white rice, etc.) encourage fat accumulation around the
midsection. So, by eating clean you should notice a difference.
It seems your ab workouts are pretty intense. Try to do
at least one ab workout a week without weights -- just really, really high reps. Squeeze,
hold, and exhale at each contraction, and perform the repetitions fairly slowly. This
should help.
Thanks for writing,

One of a kind
Hello Emmanuela,
I just wanted to comment on how great you look from your
latest show pics, and the pictures with Fast Twitching Video. You really are looking
excellent.
To be honest, in my opinion, there isnt any other
women in fitness or bodybuilding who combines the awesome physique and beauty that you
have. You are truly one of a kind. Please keep up the terrific job.
A fan,
Scott
Thanks.
Emmanuela
