Who would ever say no to lobster? Definitely not me! It’s juicy, delicious and flavorful not only when boiled but also when grilled! And even if one would have to exert some energy just to crack it open and get rid of its hard shell, I would still insist on eating it! Now it’s pretty easy to order a serving of this mouth-watering seafood from restaurants. But cooking it at home, I’d say I had a challenging time preparing it the first time. I couldn’t even decide what recipe should I follow and or the dishes that I should serve with it. So if you are planning for a lobster dinner this weekend, read on and learn from these informative resources I found online!
Lobster is great for a family celebration, a special romantic dinner or even just a change from the ordinary. Because it is usually reserved for a special meal, the dishes served with lobster are usually a little extra-special too. They don’t have to be fancy or complicated, however, since the mild flavor of lobster pairs well with just about any food that isn’t spicy or pungent.
A whole lobster makes a fun and delicious dinner, but can be messy. Split lobster tails with butter are less messy, making them more appropriate for formal dinners. Other options for serving lobster include tails poached in butter, tomatoes stuffed with lobster, lobster Newburg, grilled lobster and lobster wrapped in pastry. Lobster bisque also makes a filling main dish.
The article pretty much provided all the wonderful ideas to make your dinner party even more spectacular! It presented some suggestions on sides to serve with your lobster; what drinks to concoct to make the meal even better and even ideas for desserts and soups. I loved the suggestions for vegetables because veggies paired with seafood are truly mouth-watering! I would choose the traditional grilled corn on the cob or green beans with lemon butter. Anyway, since you have already pictured your menu, let me also share this lobster recipe that I found online. I tried this at home and I must say that it’s just SOOOOO GOOOODDD! Here it is!
Preheat your grill to direct medium-high heat. In a small bowl blend butter, chives, tarragon, minced garlic, hot sauce, and black pepper with a rubber spatula. Blend thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap and reserve.
Using kitchen shears, butterfly the lobster tails straight down the middle of the softer underside of the shell. Cut the meat down the center without cutting all the way through. Insert a metal skewer down the lobster tail so the tail stands straight. Brush the tails with olive oil and season with salt, to taste.
